How To Make A Love Bug – Heart Shaped Craft for Kids For Valentine’s Day

Making love bugs is a simple and fun activity for children to do on Valentine’s Day. These little love bugs are made out of readily available supplies that may be found around the house and only take a few minutes to put together. On Valentine’s Day, kids will enjoy giving these adorable little creatures as tokens of affection to their friends and relatives.

What you will need

  • Red card
  • Pink paper
  • Red felt
  • Googly Eyes
  • Black Marker
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Ruler

Steps

  1. Get your red card and draw a big heart, the size of the page, and cut your heart out.

  2. With your marker, draw a mouth on the big red heart that you have cut out. Get your googly eyes and stick this on to complete the face.

  3. Then get your pink card and draw four lines with your ruler. Then cut these out.

  4. Fold each of the four pink strips one up and back. See how to do this on my video.

  5. Cut out four small hearts with your red felt.

  6. Stick on the little felt hearts to your pink strips.

  7. Then stick these on to your big red heart as your Love Bug arms and legs!
